Our story
Cazana was founded in 2012 by the well-known car enthusiast Tom Wood. The company initially focused on gathering classified ad data to create a unique pricing index. Powered by machine learning, it helped to provide more accurate and up-to-date vehicle valuations.
Over time, Cazana expanded its services to offer a more comprehensive range of vehicle intelligence solutions, including gathering data from various sources, such as the DVLA, SMMT, and MOT history. By combining this data with their existing pricing index, Cazana was able to provide a more holistic view of vehicle history and value.
In 2021, Cazana was sold to Cazoo and rebranded Cazoo Data Services (CDS). The platform was purchased solely to value Cazoo’s own vehicle assets. Percayso purchased CDS in 2023 and rebranded it Percayso Vehicle Intelligence (PVI). This new name reflected the company’s broader focus on providing data-driven insights into the insurance and automotive industries.
In 2026, after consultation with the automotive market, the decision was made to revive the original Cazana brand and name, to differentiate the vehicle data business from Percayso’s extensive suite of insurance-focussed services.
Today, Cazana offers a range of solutions that benefit businesses involved in car production, lending, insurance, and more. The platform provides real-time data, accurate valuations, risk assessment tools, and insights into market trends.
